Luigi Einaudi Chair Call for Nominations - Open Now

The Institute for European Studies is pleased to announce the annual call for Luigi Einaudi Chair nominations AY2020-2021. This visiting scholar strengthens and expands the cultural ties between the United States and Europe, as a reflection of the work done by Luigi Einaudi.

 

Luigi Einaudi Chair in European and International Studies was established by the Institute for European Studies with support from the Italian Government and the university in 1987 to honor Luigi Einaudi, first President of the Italian Republic, and his many contributions to the fields of economics, political science, modern European history and European integration.

Nominations for scholars to hold the Chair for the 2020-21 academic year are due June 15, 2020. Chair-holders are typically in residence at Cornell for a period of four to six weeks, with the Chair supporting their travel costs to and from Ithaca, as well as a $5,000 stipend. Each nomination should include an up to date CV and a brief (less than 500 word) nomination statement.  Nominations can be sent to IES cies@cornell.edu with the subject heading Luigi Einaudi Chair Nomination.
