On November 18th, 2019, IES welcomed Pamela Hampton, who joined the staff of the Institute for European Studies as Program Manager.

Pamela Hampton most recently served as a Project Associate for Entrepreneurship Programs for Cornell’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement. In this role, she managed program activity for a portfolio of 11 programs. She also worked cross-programmatically to implement project management software and integrate complex systems. Pamela has 11 years of experience at Cornell in a variety of roles which include working as a Student Relations Coordinator in the College of Engineering, as Assistant Director of Career Development in CALS for 4 years, as the Administrator for the Macaulay Library at the Lab of Ornithology, and as the Coordinator of the Office of the Assemblies. These roles provide her with a deep understanding of the academic landscape at Cornell.

Additionally, Pamela spent 8 years working for not-for-profit organizations focusing on youth and community development. As a nationally certified USA Track and Field coach, she coached indoor and outdoor track, cross country, volleyball and basketball for over 30 seasons. She holds a B.S. in Academic Policy and Human Development and has completed coursework in pursuit of a Master of Social Science degree from Syracuse University. Outside of Cornell, Pamela owns and teaches lessons at her private piano studio. She is an avid runner, volleyball player, and gardener who lives with her partner and two amazing daughters. The common theme throughout all of her activities and interests is pursuing excellence by facilitating the positive growth and development of people and programs. Pamela is excited to join the IES team and looks forward to the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the outstanding work being done by the Einaudi Center.

Pamela will be in office 120C, in the IES office suite. Please stop by to say hello and meet her in person!
