2016 Project Participants

Abhinav Vijay Headshot

Abhinav Vijay is a senior in Environmental Science and Sustainability (ESS) in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He is also transitioning towards a Masters in Biological and Environmental Engineering (BEE) in the College of Engineering with a focus on Hydrology. Abhinav is committed to the water resources awareness campaign in Singapore and Chennai, hoping to take back lessons from this program that can be applied in Singapore.

David Tipping Headshot

David Tipping is pursuing his masters in public administration at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs. He also hold a bachelor of engineering from the University of Wollongong and masters of civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. David has previously served as a senior executive officer for Estate and Infrastructure Policy among other positions in the Australian Government and the United Nations.

Jared Enriquez is pursuing a doctorate in philosophy, city and regional planning, previously earning a master of urban and regional planning from the University of Michigan, Ann Harbor and bachelor of arts in architecture and urban studies from Yale University. His major research interests include defensible design, formalization of infrastructure, latino urbanism, and marginalized community solutions.

Jungju Lee is pursuing a bachelors of arts in Government and Asian Studies, minoring in International Relations and Law and Society. She has been named an International Leadership Foundation Civic Fellow, a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, and a Department of Asian Studies Research Grant Recipient. Jungju is also President of the Cornell Student Union and Vice President of Public Relations for Cornell Class Council.

Laura Kenny Headshot

Laura Kenny is pursuing a masters of Regional Planning, already having completed a bacholer of arts in Geoscience at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She has accomplished field work and research experiences.with both Cornell and Hobart and William Smiith Colleges in Ithaca. She has received the East Lakeview Community Partnership Award from the Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center.

Susan Chen Headshot

Susan Chen is pursuing a bachlors degree in operations research and information engineering in the College of Engineering, concentraing in international development. She has worked as an International Research Consultant at ReverPRO Pulp and Paper Company in addition to experiences at the Ecology and Environment, Inc., Ithaca Wastewater Treatment Facility, Engineers for a Sustainable World, and AguaClara.
